ChronoSync always provided indication that it was running a scheduled task by animating the ChronoSync System Menu icon. Summary Unreliable, hangs machine frequently forcing hard shut down, this is very bad for hard drives. It archives replaced files so, should the need arise, I can go back to older versions of whatever it was I changed. I prefer manual backups because my experience with automatic systems has been unsatisfactory.
This required "under the hood" changes, the likes of which have never been seen since the release of ChronoSync v4.
Pros I would say ease of use, but the headaches this has caused far outweigh anything else. Never had a problem with it. Instead, I like ChronoSync to work for me and do its job without any intervention from me, other than when I turn on the strip as the need arises. For those users backing up files between networked computers, Dhronosync for Mac performs well and offers all expected features. Cons I haven't encountered any.
